I am in my 30`s, been sound and picture adictive for app 17 years. This is my second hometheatre that I`ve built. I am not a proffesional, but I read a lot on the internet to find basic knowledge about sound and picture, some from previus experiance, and still learning mutch from others.
When it comes to style and design, I am very causues to make the look as minimalistic as possible with out the expense of sound quality.
The system in 5:1 selection has a 2db dip at 80Hz, witch I find within limit. But I would prefer a boost in that range instead of a dip. System rounds of at 20hz. Frq beneth just shakes the room.
In two channel modus, offcourse without subwoofer, the Usher`s have a 2db dip at 80hz, and starts to round of at 22Hz, but still makes sound at 20Hz.
Without to mutch sound deadning the frq curve is very linear, and no perticular stinging, nor frq peaks.
The room has sound deadning in front, where a 1/16" thick filt is glued on to the front wall, and the wall curves from the screen twoards the corners.
Behind listening possition there is a 2" thick sound deadning that dampens reflections from the rear wall twoards sweetspot. All walls is hung up by silicone dampers, and is in no contact with roof nor floor. The roof has sevral sound absorbent plates, so there will be minor reflections from the roof in the room.
DVD cabinet`s on each side of the room, mounted in front of speakers, dampens longitudal sound waves that builds up in the corners behinde listening position. These sound waves may return in fase or out of fase with the waves from the speaker, and cause a frq boost or drop. A difference where proven with and without the DVD cabinet`s. |

Faded lights, pupiles dialated, and the senses on allert, selected music is played on the Marantz.
An extasy and come sattles minde and body to complete relaxation. A Cognac in one hand, and the remote in the other, while the Usher`s playes on with their good dynamik, I can feel the foot starts to move with the beats from the music....... I am Disconnected!.... :D |
