| upgrades... | | No upgrades is planning yet, btw whats should it be ? Better poweramps ? no need. Better DVD-player ? no need. Better HT-processor ? no need. Better CRT ? Not with DVD available, but when HD is here (really here, I mean) then... I need a 9" CRT. Better subwoofers ? Yes, you can not ever get enough, I mean. The only component's missing is a room-correction device. I have some bad up/down in some frequencies. So if Denon would give me a AVP-A1XV processor i would order one unseen...! | Posted by bwa (04.11.05, 19:16)

| upgrade | | the only uprade you need is the patience to wait for new HD sources;) | Posted by jfinneru (04.11.05, 20:48)

| upgrades | | do you have any plans for upgrades bwa? I can't see what it should be, but then again you know this better yourself. | Posted by jfinneru (04.11.05, 23:53)

| upgrades | | No plans, but thats due to moneyissues... bougth a new car lately and currently building a new cabin on the mountain... the two most expensive thing to do in Norway. I'm using about 25k NOK weekly while my wife is shopping kitchen-funitures, bathroom-funitures, floor, etc, etc. It's a Denon DVD-A1XV every week ! | Posted by bwa (05.11.05, 08:18)

| Rack | | I love your rack, i want to make one for myself also.. | Posted by Bortne (10.11.05, 23:40)

| I`L | | be damd. This is nice. How do you like you`r processor? Score | Posted by BJB (17.12.05, 23:31)

| processor | I have both a video processor and a audio processor. The audio processcor, primare, is a fantastisk good and configurable ht and stereo processor/dac. It has sp/dif in and balanced stereo outputs. It has separat configuration sets for stereo and ht, which gives me very neutral stereo sound and impressive ht-sound.
The video processor is the best I have ever seen in a DVD combo solution. You need a very good scaler with a sdi input capability to outperform this. The only thing I miss is BNC outputs for the VGA out.... | Posted by bwa (26.12.05, 19:01)

| well done ht | This is v nice BW, I've been reading through your worklogs on the norwegian equivalent of avforum, and I'm impressed.
I'm hoping to be able to build something similar one day.
Hows the cobalts? Considering similar ones for my ht (with a limited budget) :)) | Posted by Mats (30.03.06, 06:43)

| re:ht | Thanx, Mats
The cobalts are fairly good and is a decent match to the electra series. | Posted by bwa (02.04.06, 21:43)

Audio Processors; Dolby-Digital and DTS Decoders to analog 5.1, and more.... | But what is the price of this total set-up?
I'm working on the issue to make the same quality, and as acceptable looks - available in a more pragmatic and "all" user friendly set for just 20 -35 % of this price-level... so that it will be affordable/useful for a majority of people and families!
On that project I am looking for an External Dolby Digital Decoder - preferably of the "No Bull-Shit" type and style... Anyone that has some hint to give on the theme is very welcome!
Paying immense amounts of money for just a fashionable name and some flashing twinkling blue LED's is not my main interest, especially when children are starving and the environment is ruined and paranoid guys like Bush & Co. are systematically brain-washing and killing around the world... I then emphasize more to make environmentally proof and sound as well as "fair trade" and low energy-consumption style of "long-life" equipment in inert and renewable materials like wood, hardened glass, granite, stainless steel, etc for a long lasting pleasure in respect for Gaya!
Please get in touch if You know of any external DD and/or DTS Decoder or Satellite-Tuners with direct analog 5.1 outputs!
